Halloween Update

This is a busy productive time for us. This week we will approach BDI about a 20,000 loan for operating capital. We will send out the 2010 press release.

To break even, by December 31 we are looking for:

$10,000 in new Patrons (10 new letters sent our last week, 10 this week)
$10,000 in new SBP's (report below)
$10,000 in Seniors Program sponsor (we meet with Credit Union this week)
$10,000 in Students Program (any suggestions)

And then we're there!

The Five Year Plan Committee met on Friday night: Arnold Smith, Carter Jeffrey, Carol Probert (audience member, church council at N.Rustico). Jackie Torrens will be joining by phone in future
The Building Committee (Maxine, Michael Murphy and Wade MacLauchlan) meets next Monday

Stage Business Partners:

Arnold has approached Marks Work Wear House - will follow up
Arnold has approached another private company
Gracie approached Doirons Landscaping last spring and they suggested that we come back before Christmas, I went into see them yesterday
Gracie approached Island Vacation Rentals, I will follow up today
Mary Crane has approached Mait MacIssac at Learning and Reading Partners Adult Learning System
Mary has approached Sleman park
Gracie Suggests that we should approach Patron Rory Francis to pitch our partnerships with the Bio Alliance of which is the CEO

Carol Cabana says "Yes" she'll do a workshop before Christmas for one evening (for free) and she will help us find the money for a full workshop with the new board members in the winter.

Keep those ideas coming especially about the Stage Business Partners...

The Full Court Press is Back!

Last March, we raised 60,000 in one month. This time around we are looking at doing one month’s intensive work to raise that amount again. This will not only break even in our second season – but let us pay down debt from last year. Amazing possibility! Its within our reach, given your example from last spring and the public reaction to our 2009 season.

Our goal asks each board member to identify one (1) Stage Business Partner between now and Christmas. Anyone who joins this week gets exposure in our national Press Release sent out next week.

The goal is $20,000 a month in October, November and December.

In the month of October, we currently have confirmed $16,500.

Thanks to those who have already sent the Stage Business Partnership packages out to businesses . Please let Duncan know the names and contacts of the people to whom you have sent the packages. He will follow up and make the “ask”. This might be easier than having to ask yourself.

Please follow up yourself if you prefer. Those who like this package, REALLY like it. Four of the five partners from last year have already renewed!

July 23rd Update

Bill Andrew and Meridian Farms have confirmed that they will be the 2010 Season Sponsor and will send a cheque for $16,000 for September 1st.

Jim Palmer has become a Donor for $1000

Roberta MacDoanald has become a Patron for $250

We are selling $1000 in tickets a day. We have been at this level for 2 weeks except for one day when we sold $1200. This level of box office income covers our costs.

Anymore than this allows us to pay some bills including last years bills. We are working now to increase this level through the rest of the run.

Shows are running on target for audience numbers.

Lennie Gallant show is on Monday night. L.M.Montgomery Institute night is tonight.

Patrons and Donors still welcome.

PEI Conservatory starts Monday so I am less available during this two week period.

Photos from the shows are now up at www.themontgomerytheatre.blogspot.com

14 more shows

There are 14 more shows left for Private Lives, The Fourposter and Maud of Cavendish

These all close in one month - please send interested people now.

Patrons continue to contribute: Elizabeth Sloat gave $250 and Lou MacEachern gave $500 last week. Feel free to suggest supporters who could join us and we will send them the materials and make the request.

We are making just over $5000 a week at the box office. We need to move that to $7000and stay there for the next 4 weeks to keep on target.

If you enjoyed the shows, please ask people to come.
