May Goal

Hello Folks:

Hertiage Canada approved $11,300 for our concert series- we have the letter from them now.

As described below in this blog, The Full Court Press has raised $54,775 since we started on May 4th. Our goal was to raise $49,000 by the end of May.

To quote our neighbours to the south, YES WE CAN.

Could we make it to $60,000 though box office sales? Yes. Here's how: Each of us who haven't already done so could buy 2 seats to both opening nights. That would nearly get us there - and Laurel, Geoff and I will sell the rest. Ticket buyers are eligible for the opening night prizes or the regular prizes just by buying. see the prizes at www.themontgomerytheatre.blogspot.com

Next month, we have a goal of $71,000. Committed income so far is $51,100.

Much of this money has been in sponsorship and grants. The season can go ahead.

We need to finish this job with ticket sales. If we had the whole payroll for the summer in the bank before July 14th, what a difference that would make. If you get just two people a day to buy a ticket, that will be all we need to reach that goal.

Many people have been contacted by you, already. I have met them - "Yes, Gracie called me! Yes Arnold told me! I know, I know Mary mentioned! " People have reported to me and others that yes they are coming, and just haven't got around to booking yet. So we have to keep at them. I have found that people are happy and forthcoming when I say "Book Your Tickets!"

We have this ball rolling, lets keep it going.

Geoff starts Monday. (Service Canada subsidy for Geoff's salary not included in this months fundraising.)

The Tourism Money has not arrived yet though they tell us the cheque is in the mail. If I had a nickel for everytime someone has told me that I would: fill in the blank (We have included this in next months fundriaising)

Kathy's last day is today, Friday. We are giving her two opening night tickets to one of the shows.

Tomorrow is a Village Yard Sale in Rustico. We are putting out a table from 9 am to noon -come by if you are in theneighbourhood.
