A quieter Day, but a good one:
$900 in tickets sold on line. ($466 were for Opening Nights. Because the production sponsors announced here yesterday get tickets for opening nights, these are filling up fast. Buy your seat soon if you are coming.
Cavendish Country Music Concert will donate $2500 to the theatre in return for us providing 30 volunteers to take tickets. We can get the Star of the Sea Seniors in Rustico to help. This will get them free admission to the concerts.
Repayment of our BDI loan prinicpal was arranged to be delayed until we receive the Province money. They were happy to do this - in fact our loan officer has promised to buy a ticket.

- In 2008, our community of Cavendish, Prince Edward Island was inspired by the 100th anniversary of the publication Anne of Green Gables to honour the novel’s author, L. M. Montgomery. This ongoing non-profit community resource provides international-standard professional theatre for residents and visitors, students of all ages and arts lovers throughout Prince Edward Island. Our productions are designed to help our audience appreciate the depth and breadth of Montgomery’s influence on literature, culture and art in the world. Our community renovated the 128 year old Long River Church, a church attended by Montgomery in the summers; into a 200 seat thrust style theatre in which to perform our plays. We will present three plays in repertory between July 14 and August 23, 2009 Private Lives by Noel Coward in The Church at Avonlea Village The Four Poster by Jan de Hartog The Church at Avonlea Village Maud of Cavendish by Kathleen MacLaughlin at Green Gables House Tickets range from $16 to $32 each.
